We thank N.Y.S. Assembly member David Weprin for sponsoring our Queens Summer debate classic at St. John's University.
The debate tournament was the culminating event to our summer debate camps held at St. John's University, which hosted over sixty middle & high school students from all over Queens. A special thanks to the St. John's University debate society, especially Director Stephen Llano, for all of their support in making these events possible. RESPONSIBILITIES: Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to volunteer to judge the debate rounds. No experience is necessary. The American Debate League provides the judge training on-site 30 minutes before every tournament. As a judge you will be responsible for the following:
If interested, you must complete the application to be considered for the position.
Upon receiving and reviewing the application, the Executive Director of the Debate Program will call you for a 15 minute interview. Once the decision is made, we will email you the certification to be the Volunteer Judge for American Debate League. We are really excited to have the American Debate League's New York City Spring Classic sponsored by Senator Tony Avella.
