BEGINNERS LEVEL:

​Speech 101 
Intro to Public Speaking & Speech (Beginner/ No experience)

Speech 102 
Intro to Competitive Speech (Beginner/ No experience)
(All Interpretative Events: Dramatic Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Prose, Poetry, & Program Oral Interpretation)

Speech 103
Intro to Competitive Speech (Beginner/ No experience)
(All Individual events/ Limited Prep: Impromptu , Original Oratory, Informative Speaking, Extemporaneous Speaking)

INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED LEVEL: 

Speech 201, 301 
Advanced Public Speaking & Speech (students with 1-3 years experience)

Speech 202, 302
Advanced Competitive Speech (students with 1-3 years experience)
(All Interpretative Events: Dramatic Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Prose, Poetry, & Program Oral Interpretation)

Speech 203, 303
Advanced Competitive Speech (students with 1-3 years experience)
(All Individual events/ Limited Prep: Impromptu , Original Oratory, Informative Speaking, Extemporaneous Speaking)

Recommended Course Series:

Students typically register for 1-3 weeks of speech camp.
For Beginners 
Week 1 - SPEECH 101
Week 2 - SPEECH 102
Week 3 - SPEECH 103
For Experienced
Week 1 - SPEECH 201 or 301
Week 2 - SPEECH 202 or 302
Week 3 - SPEECH 203 or 303

Typical Virtual Summer Speech Camp Schedule:

Students will be actively engaged in all of the activities from the beginning of the session to the end.

9:00-9:40 am
Activity #1 (Intro to Oral Interpretation & Group discussion on good or bad literature)

9:40-10:30 am
Activity #2 (Develop your oral interpretation presentation - Skill practice)

10:30-10:40 am
Snack/Break

10:40-11:10 am
Activity #3 (Group oral interpretation activity)

11:10-12:00 pm
​Activity #4 (Practice Individual presentation)
